Autonomy Named ‘Best Sell-Side Automated Trading Platform’ by Waters

Clearpool’s AMS (Algorithmic Management System) Seen as a Breakout Success

NEW YORK, April 27, 2016 – Clearpool Group today announced that Autonomy™ was named “Best Sell-Side Automated Trading Platform” at the fourth annual Sell-Side Technology Awards hosted here on April 21st by Waters magazine. The Clearpool AMS (algorithmic management system) was also recognized as “Best Algorithmic Trading Platform” at the Markets Choice Awards in February. Clearpool is a next-generation, electronic trading software development and agency execution business; its clients are the institutional sell-side and professional trading firms.

“While the sell-side is our client base, the buy-side has also had a decisive role in Autonomy’s success,” said Clearpool Group CEO, Joseph Wald. “Both recognize our AMS for its ability to deliver significant control and transparency in algorithmic and electronic trading.” As an AMS, Autonomy facilitates a complete execution cycle specific to algorithmic trading with pre-trade configuration of algorithms; trade monitoring in real time; and post-trade performance analysis. Since its introduction early last year, Clearpool has on-boarded 80 new clients of Autonomy.

Web-based Autonomy obviates the need for end-user development or a large investment in infrastructure by the client. Included with Autonomy are liquidity sourcing, schedule driven and dynamic/adaptive strategies, as well as agency executions across exchanges including dark and lit centers. Autonomy enables the sell-side to easily customize strategies, and deliver value and service in meeting the discrete trading and execution requirements of buy-side clients. Further control may be achieved by traders as they utilize Autonomy to select their own execution and order routing protocols, and provide a level of transparency their clients demand.

“Our team of gifted technologists have simplified the process by which traders, on their own, can configure algorithmic and order routing protocols to specific client needs,” said Clearpool Group President, Brian Schaeffer. “This degree of control also lends itself to a level of unconflicted transparency which the industry is demanding.”

Waters’ Sell-Side Technology Awards, overseen by the magazine’s senior editors, singles out leading technologies and third party vendors across 28 categories.
